Teaching System

At exactly 8 am, teachers and students in Ban Pongsanook start their day on Mondays and Wednesdays at the flag ceremony area as they sing the Thailand national anthem and the school song.

Classes in the morning start at 8:30 am and a lunch break at 11:30; classes resume at 12:30 pm and end at 4:30 pm.

Subjects: Thai Language, English, Chinese, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, Scouting, History, Physical Education, Arts, Guidance, Computer, Dance

Prior to the actual day of instruction, teachers prepare their lesson plan which contains the goal, contents, materials/resources, evaluation, and assignment if needed. Teachers can design their own set of activities in the lesson plan as there is no strict format to be followed. This will be checked and signed by the teacher, assistant teacher, adviser, and deputy director.

The main teaching and learning resources they utilize are work-textbooks. In Science and Mathematics in MEP, the adapted and modified work-textbooks from Singapore are being used. However, teachers can freely access supplementary materials from other references.

For each subject, there is a one hour time allocated which teachers need to consume for all the activities plotted in the lesson plan.
